b. 19 May 1846, near Orleans, Orange County, Indiana, to Zebulon Collins and Amry Ann (Moore) Smith
d. 7 November 1919, Douglas Township, Madison County, Iowa

Children with William Henry Smith:
• Fannie Grace (1871-1953) married Marcus James Boyce

Mary’s parents moved the family to Iowa in 1855. They first lived in northern Iowa, and then moved to Clark County in southern Iowa before the 1860 census.

After her marriage, Mary lived in Clark County, Iowa, for a short while, then moved to the town of Winterset in Madison County, Iowa. Her husband was a painter and a paperhanger. Mary and William also had another daughter.
