  • Emma (1867–1897) married Willard W. Scritchfield
  • Charles (1868–1953) married Emma Jane Platz
  • Albert John (1877–1948) married Pauline Nothacker/Nadocker

John Frank immigrated to the United States from Germany with his parents about 1840. Sophia moved to Spencer County, Indiana, in 1854. John and Sophia emigrated from Indiana in 1860 to Manhattan, Riley County, Kansas. John served during the Civil War in Company G, 11th Kansas Cavalry. In the 1870’s he operated an inn in Manhattan, Kansas. He moved to Pottawatomie County, Kansas, about 1876.
