Marion County Women In The World War
The book, “Indiana Women In The World War,” created by the American
Legion Auxiliary in 1938, contains short profiles of the nearly 600 Hoosier
females who served in military or military-support positions during WW1.
The profiles are divided into four sections, Vols. 1 and 2, plus 2
supplements.
The following women from Volume 1 had Marion County connections,
either by birth, school, employment, or residence. Please visit the Indiana
State Library, the Genealogical Society of Marion County Library, or the
Allen County Public Library, if any names relate to your interests or to
search the entire manuscript.
