Castleton High School, Lawrence Township, 1897-1941
The following graduation list was compiled from multiple sources and
reflects the most complete accounting of this school to date.
The Metropolitan School District of Lawrence Township has very few
official records of Castleton High School, which was consolidated into
Lawrence Central High School in 1941. The Buildings and Grounds facility at
8301 E. 46th Street has a group of class registers and attendance ledgers,
mostly from the 1920’s and 1930’s. There are also some staff lists from the
same era.
The site of Castleton High School in the northeast corner of Marion
County is now under Exit 1 of Interstate 69 near E. 82nd Street.
