Benjamin Bennett resided at Lawrenceburg, Dearborn County, Indiana. He enlisted at Dearborn County, Indiana, on 6 August 1861 and served during the Civil War in Company K, 26th Regiment, Indiana Volunteers. In 1866 he emigrated to Watopa, Wabasha County, Minnesota.
