The Porsch family immigrated to New York when Anna was about 6 years old. They moved to Osgood, Ripley County, Indiana, around 1885. After her marriage, Anna emigrated to Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio. Anna’s father was a pottery maker when in Prussia; her mother’s family were musicians.
