Children with Catherine Rash:

  • Mary Ann (b. 8 February 1845–1917) married George Hendrickson
  • Sarah Jane (b. 2 April 1848)
  • John W. (b. 16 March 1850)
  • Anna (b. 26 October 1853)
  • Thomas (b. 5 November 1860)

Charles resided in Carroll County, Indiana; Delaware County, Indiana; and Jackson Township, Brown County, Indiana, in 1850. He emigrated from Indiana in 1855 to Bloomfield, Davis County, Iowa.

Charles and Catherine’s daughter, Mary Ann, was left a widow with eight children at age 33 when her husband, George Hendrickson, died of Civil War injuries. She raised the children and never remarried. She died at age 72 in 1917 at Berkeley, California.
