Children with Rebecca (Hanna) Nugent:

  • Juliann or Julian (1829–1854)
  • Caroline (1830–1915)
  • Mary Elsa (1833–1914) married William C. Summers
  • Hannah (1835–1921) married Sanford S. Wright
  • Martin VanBuren (1837–1842)

Elisha Lake immigrated to Indiana from Hamilton County, Ohio, about 1821 with his parents and resided in three Indiana counties: Marion, Carroll, and Putnam. He moved to Rice County, Kansas, in 1876.

Rebecca Hanna, Elisha’s wife, married first William Nugent. They had a daughter, Rosanna.
