Zanora and James emigrated from Indiana to Illinois in 1898 and then moved back to Indiana. Again in 1900, Zanora and James moved to Illinois, where they lived until their deaths. Her death came after an illness of four days, which
was caused by an incision on her hand made by a fruit jar.
